MK Guide Recommends
Since 1951, Sengoku Sushi has held its place along Nagoya’s Taiko-dori, quietly perfecting both approachable nigiri and lavish donburi. Inside, a polished wooden sushi counter presides over modest tables and tatami rooms for groups up to 50. The kitchen’s “kobore” bowls—heaped with ikura, tuna, and shellfish—draw local families and visitors with their generous spirit. Meanwhile, evening guests can opt for traditional nigiri or celebratory larger set menus. Despite its long history, the mood feels generous, lively, and unpretentious—ideal for casual lunches, family meals, or quiet celebrations.
