Set inside the Washington Hotel, this themed seafood restaurant invites guests to fish for their own dinner from tanks that surround a life-sized wooden boat built into the dining floor. Once caught, your fish is prepared to order—sashimi, grilled, fried, or simmered—by the kitchen staff. The menu also includes rice bowls, tempura, and seasonal sides for those who prefer to eat without baiting a hook. Especially popular with families, dates, and tourists, Zauo offers a playful, hands-on twist to Tokyo’s seafood scene. Few restaurants let you literally earn your meal.
