MK Guide Recommends
Curry Bondy is a name whispered with reverence among Jinbocho regulars and Tokyo curry aficionados. Tucked inside the Kanda Secondhand Book Center on the second floor, the space is unassuming—wood-paneled, a touch dated—but always humming with loyal customers. Their signature: a velvety European-style curry roux served with thick rice, soft-boiled potatoes, and melting cheese or meat of choice. The beef curry, in particular, carries a cult following for its deep, spiced sweetness and perfectly tender chunks of meat. Bondy doesn’t chase trends—it sticks to the formula that’s worked since 1978, delivering comfort and consistency with every plate.
