MK Guide Recommends

Takiya Tempura redefines deep-frying as an art form. Located on the discreet second floor of Azabujuban, the restaurant offers a reservation-only omakase focused on seasonal seafood and vegetables, each carefully fried to order in golden safflower oil. What makes Takiya unique is its signature wagyu tempura—perfectly marbled beef lightly coated and served with house-made condiments that emphasize umami without overwhelming. The atmosphere is understated, the counter intimate, and the timing precise. English support is limited, but the experience clearly communicates through texture and temperature. It’s a singular take on tempura pushed to its limits.
