MK Guide Recommends

Ala Votre is a refined yet welcoming French restaurant located just outside the center of Ōmihachiman. Helmed by a chef trained in both France and Japan, the restaurant focuses on seasonal Shiga-grown ingredients—Lake Biwa seafood, local vegetables, and wagyu—transformed into classic and contemporary French fare. Inside, the space is minimal but warm, with natural light, calm energy, and a strong attention to service. Prix-fixe lunch and dinner menus change regularly, making return visits feel fresh. While understated from the outside, Ala Votre is one of the area's most thoughtfully crafted dining experiences.
