MK Guide Recommends
Horomitoge Lavender Garden is a peaceful seasonal spot high above Sapporo, where rows of purple lavender cover the slopes of Mt. Moiwa. Managed by Yumekobo Satou Farm, the garden opens only during peak bloom—usually from early July to early August—allowing visitors to stroll among the fragrant rows, enjoy sweeping views of Sapporo, and breathe the fresh mountain air. Less crowded than more popular flower parks, it has become a favorite among locals, photographers, and couples looking for a quiet, romantic view. The garden is located within a broader viewpoint area called Horomitoge, which is also known for its stunning night views. The easiest way to get there is by car, with a small parking fee helping support the privately operated facility.
