Designed by architect Hiroshi Sanbuichi, Rokko Shidare Observatory features a distinctive tree-inspired structure made of Japanese cypress. Located at the summit of Mount Rokko, the observatory offers breathtaking panoramic views of Kobe and Osaka. Visitors can experience the "Komorebi" effect, where sunlight filters through the cypress frame, creating a serene and magical atmosphere. At night, the observatory transforms with a stunning LED light display known as "Lightscape in Rokko," featuring over 10 million colors. The observatory is part of the Rokko Garden Terrace, which also includes shops, restaurants, and beautiful gardens.
