MK Guide Recommends

Founded in 1659, Kiku-Masamune is one of Kobe’s most renowned sake producers. The Kiku-Masamune Sake Brewery Museum, rebuilt after the 1995 Hanshin Earthquake, recreates the appearance and atmosphere of an Edo-period brewery using original woodwork and traditional tools. Visitors can explore the brewing process through large displays, watch craftsmen at work, and sample various sakes in the tasting area. Located in the famous Nada district—Japan’s top sake-producing region—the museum offers both cultural insights and refreshment. Admission is free.
