MK Guide Recommends

Ippudo Daimyo Honten stands as the birthplace of the global Ippudo brand, rooted in the backstreets of Fukuoka’s Daimyo district. Since 1985, this ramen shop has defined the Hakata tonkotsu tradition with its rich pork bone broth, ultra-thin noodles, and meticulous toppings. Diners queue up daily for bowls of Shiromaru Classic and Akamaru Modern, along with seasonal specials exclusive to the flagship. The open kitchen, tightly arranged counters, and high turnover atmosphere echo a ramen-ya ethos of precision and speed. While walk-in only, the shop remains a pilgrimage site for locals and ramen fans worldwide. Families are welcome, and high chairs are available.
