MK Guide Recommends

Nestled in the vibrant Shimokitazawa neighborhood, Machinaka is the latest addition to the family of restaurants that includes "Mabonen" and "Omukai." The menu features a wide range of Chinese favorites, from classic gyoza and mapo tofu to special dishes like spicy boiled dumplings in house-made chili oil and "mouth-watering" chicken. The drink selection is equally impressive, offering beers, Shaoxing wine, Chinese tea cocktails, and unique options like almond lemon sour. The interior is designed to provide a relaxed dining experience, with private rooms available for groups. Operating hours are from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM, making it an ideal spot for dinner or late-night gatherings. Reservations are recommended, especially during peak hours.
