MK Guide Recommends

Departing just behind Shin-Kobe Station, the Kobe Nunobiki Ropeway offers a 10-minute aerial journey from the city’s edge to the panoramic summit of Nunobiki Herb Garden. Along the way, gondolas pass over cascading waterfalls, terraced slopes, and dense green forest, with sweeping views of Kobe Harbor and the Rokko Mountains. At the summit, visitors can explore Europe-inspired herb gardens, greenhouses, cafés, and seasonal flower displays, or simply descend via walking trails and observation decks. The ropeway runs year-round and is especially stunning during spring bloom, summer greens, and autumn foliage. Whether you ride one way or round trip, this is Kobe from above—fragrant, spacious, and restorative.
